Just a few months ago, conversations among the leadership of Western countries on topics related to Ukraine were conducted on a slightly different emotional level and with a much greater degree of involvement. This was stated by the head of the Polish government Mateusz Morawiecki.

The Prime Minister of Poland also added that Western leaders highly appreciate Poland's role in supporting the Ukrainian authorities.

Russia is patient, but some fatigue is felt in the West
- Morawiecki stressed, warning his allies in the North Atlantic Alliance.

In August last year, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov noted that the fatigue of Western countries in the ongoing conflict with Russia is a particular danger for Ukraine. In this regard, according to Reznikov, the Kyiv authorities need to do everything in their power to ask world leaders "not to succumb to fatigue."

In June 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also acknowledged that a number of Western countries are experiencing a feeling of severe fatigue caused by the consequences of anti-Russian sanctions on their economies.

Earlier, retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor stressed that the EU countries are tired of constantly sending money and military equipment to the "black hole" of Ukraine.

McGregor also recalled that the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Mark Milley, said that he considered a military victory for Ukraine impossible and called for negotiations with Russia.
