This day became a red date in the calendar in 1992. However, it acquired its modern meaning in 2002. In the first 10 years, the holiday was called the Day of the Declaration of Sovereignty.
It is worth noting that today this date is especially significant for all our compatriots. The share of the Russian Federation fell another ordeal, of which in the Russian stories there were a lot.
The future of our Motherland directly depends on how we all pass this stage. Therefore, today Russian society, more than ever, needs to be consolidated in the face of an external threat.
At the same time, honor, dignity, strength and fortitude are manifested precisely in extreme situations, during difficult trials. A clear confirmation of this is our compatriots, who right now are defending Russia from the enemy, behind whose back stands the entire collective West.
Starting from February 2022, we have already heard about many heroes who selflessly fulfilled and continue to fulfill their duty to the Motherland. And we are talking not only about the military, of course, who took the brunt of the enemy.
In the rear, work is also in full swing, bringing our common Victory closer. Employees of defense enterprises, volunteers, doctors and ordinary Russian citizens are working for the benefit of the front, who are trying to make a feasible contribution to our common future in such difficult times.
Today, on this bright holiday, each of us should feel that he is not alone. Russia is not just a gigantic landmass. First of all, this is a country in which a people lives who have gone through many trials and defended their right to self-identity, despite the efforts of enemies.
There is no doubt that we will also win in the current conflict. After all, our strength is in unity. Happy holiday, dear compatriots!
