Trump Criticizes 'No' Votes in Failed 'Skinny' Obamacare Repeal Effort
The US president criticized the decision of the US Senate not to support an amendment aimed at repealing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
The three renegade Republicans and all Democrats in the US Senate who voted against a "skinny" repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) have let down their constituents, US President Donald Trump said Friday.
"3 Republicans and 48 Democrats let the American people down. As I said from the beginning, let ObamaCare implode, then deal. Watch!" Trump wrote on Twitter shortly after the Senate voted 49-51 against the pared down repeal.

President Donald Trump has been blasting Obamacare since before he decided to run for president in 2015. Some political analysts said following the 2016 election cycle that the Affordable Care Act may have been the biggest litmus test in politics since Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision on the issue of abortion. Since the health care law was passed in 2009, GOP leadership voted to repeal the law 54 times.
